FFF-Silly Smiles

My girl in her car seat! Can you believe it was 6:45 in the morning on the way to the babysitters! I took this picture for one of our follow up meetings for our home study!

This is Kip at Christmas time, he was playing with Aunt Jerry's napkin rings. The really funny ones are the ones of Daddy and Uncle Chuck, but they would totally kill me!

Karis is so cute in this picture! She's so playful. This scarf is her "lovie" at Ninny's house!

On a side note, God is moving in the hearts of people who have children from Guatemala, there have been a number of posts this week reguarding the orphans who are being left behind due to the closing of Guatamalan adoptions. I am one of these people that God has been working in my heart. Check out Giving to Guatemala (Link on the left) to see dress that I am making to help one of my friends from the Latin Families group who is going on a mission trip. I have made it my mission to help them gather supplies for their trip. There is also a list of ways to help if your are interested! Lori's website link is on there too about her mission trip. I would love to sell out this weekend and start to make more dresses! Have a great weekend.

The Thunder Rolls

The winds were blowing and no rain, no thunder, just bad bad winds. Ike was here! This was Sunday a week ago. I didn't have any damage and lost power for just a few minutes and know that God was watching over Kaya and I because I would have freaked out! (I don't do storms well at all) Many were not as lucky as I and I realized it when people started calling and seeing if I was ok. School was canceled all week so I headed out of town to my parents. They were also hit by the storm, business was good! I had planned on going home this weekend anyway because Karis was to be in the Great Ohio Co. Fair Little Miss and Mister pageant. Here she is our beauty queen

She is pictured with her escort Aiden A. isn't he a cutie. Well they got 1st runner up. If the other little girl gets involved in a scandal Karis will get to take over! The guy doing the interview was really bad. He didn't know what a field commander was and asked Karis, she said they lead the band, he asked if they run across the field he had no clue! She looked so pretty. She was the only one that didn't have curls, I think it made her stand out! I can't believe she did it, she is so shy. We went on rides after it was over. Kaya once again didn't really like the carousel, that was all she rode. We rode the Starship Trooper Kip, Karis and I. It was a fun ride, but I felt like dog poop b/c we hadn't eaten all day. It made me pretty sick. I never get sick, but I did that day. I'll post more pictures soon!

Kaya update: Kaya's been sick for about a month, she's had a really bad cough, we have gone to the dr three times, and finally got an answer pneumonia she's on meds and getting better! I think she's finally getting over it! Thank God!

A little Kaya Cuteness!
This was at the fair in her dress mom and I made for her.

FFF-Pick your own theme! The Farmer in the Dell

Today's theme is pick your own. When the weather turned cooler I couldn't help but pull out Kaya's overalls! I love them and love her in them. This pair cost a whopping 1.50 at the kid stuff consignment sale which is going on next weekend! They are getting a little short, but I'll take care of that asap! Oh man, shopping, I hope they have more next weekend.

Kaya was being silly can you tell. These were the only two pictures that were not with her eyes closed. She had her tounge out in most of them or her eyes closed.

Eyes closed tounge out she's still just as cute as a button!
Have a great weekend, if you are in LFC I can't wait to see you all Sunday!

We are the World

Wanted to let you all out there in blogging world know a couple of things!

1. I have a new project. You can check it out on the blog posted on my right called giving to Guatemala. I have a friend who is going on a mission trip, and I have made it my mission to help her and her husband gather supplies that she needs to go on this trip. Go check it out! Just click on where it says Giving to Guatemala. If you are interested in helping out just drop me a line!

2. Getting up at 5:45 every morning sucks. I am so used to staying up and going to bed late I really have to adjust the time I end my day. I just have a hard time unwinding. It doesn't help that I have a hard time keeping my eyes open after work. I've got to get a handle on this.

3. I've been published! I'll put the link on tomorrow! I just have to go to bed now so I can get up at the crack of dawn!!!

FFF-First Pictures

Well maybe not the first picture I got of Kaya, but an early look. This is another one of the numerous pictures Kaya's fm gave to us. What a wonderful gift to me and to Kaya. I know she will cherish these pictures when she gets older!

Julia the fm wrote to us today. I had sent some pictures and she said that Kaya was beautiful and that they think of her often. She is working. I am thankful of that b/c with the state of adoptions alot of people are out of work. I can't wait for Kaya to be old enough to take her back to GT. I know Julia will be glad to see her.

Wiggle in my Toes

Can you do this??

My mom is amazing in many ways, but yes, this is what I think one of her biggest talents!

She just relaxes this way with her toes crossed. Now I didn't get this gene! I have my daddy's short stubs! Just like my Granny and Uncle Gary! From the looks of it Kaya is going to have long toes. She's got huge feet size 6.5 for fall! How am I ever gonna keep this kid in shoes?

Some Kaya cuteness just to keep you coming back!
"My momma is so cool she gave this fuzzy thing to me to play with. OH MY, it's moving. A bug, Yuck! What was she thinking?"

Getting some Fun out of Life!

This weekend we had tons of fun! Kaya and I went to Beaver Dam Friday night where we enjoyed the weekend with Ninny and BopBop aka Momma and Boppie, Kip, Karis, Uncle Chuck, and Aunt Nanny. On Saturday we went to Nashville to Opry Mills, ate at Rainforest Cafe (Kip's favorite), and then shopped until Kaya literally dropped! She slept more on Saturday than she has for a long time. I guess she needed to catch up. She was really good, execept for a little while in the Carter's store, I'm sorry if you were in Carter's on Sat. I apoligize for the screaming baby. LOL
Sunday we celebrated Ninny's birthday and then Mom V and I went to a funeral for Todd Frizzell. He was our backyard neighbor growing up. He passed away on Thursday. Uncle Chuck kept Kaya and she took a nap for him the whole time. Go figure. Mom and I had to make a rush trip to Central City for some fabric that we messed up as we were making dresses for the girls. We then finished the girl's dresses and then ate lunch. Kaya and I drove home. Actually I drove while Kaya and Darbee slept. We got home and enjoyed being home. Kaya played outside for an hour glad to be able to run around! She wore herself out.

By the way tonight Kaya went to sleep w/o her bottle. Oh my baby is growning up
No for what you really want. . .

Kip and Kaya at Rainforest, Kip was so excited to show it to Kaya. You can see her big ole eyes because there was a huge gorilla dancing right above our heads! He was a little freaky and Kaya was a little freaked out!

What a wonderful life!
