Same Old Story, Same Old Song

I hope that Santa was good to everyone! I got the mother of all colds over break. Thank goodness my sister is now able to prescribe medicine! She saved me. I think I would have been in bed if not for the medicine that we started right away! We had a great time over the holiday. We went to Christmas Eve service at church where I infected everyone with my coughing. It was a great service to remember the reason for the season. Christmas morning was exciting as the family all ascended over to mom and dad's house and the paper went flying. I will put pictures on later this weekend. On Wednesday I went to lunch with Brenda Montgomery and Aiden in Owensboro. Aiden has been home from GT for a week. He is so cute! Brenda and I already decided that he and Kaya will be boyfriend and girlfriend so hands off Aiden he's Kaya's. We also went shopping. Brenda and I bought out Macy's for us and for the kiddos. J/K Kaya did get a new outfit on sale. That afternoon I went to visit Pat Russell my Home Ec. teacher. Her husband recently passed away and I didn't get to go to the funeral. I stopped by she has helped me with the adoption by writing the nicest letter of recommendation. I was so glad to see her and get to visit with her. On Thursday I went to do inventory at the store! My very fvorite time of the year LOL.

News about Kaya-- As the title says same old story same old song! After a check with PGN we are on week 11 still on the second reviewers desk!! We are hoping to be out soon I think 11 weeks is long enough, but evidently someone doesn;t see it that way. I hope to post better news soon.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town. . .

I don't have any news to report, except I spoke with the agency today and they were just checking up to see how I was doing, I am not being very patient with a 10 week wait, wonder why!!!!! They also told me they would call next week so I hopefully will have a check in before the end of the year!

School is out for a couple of weeks thank goodness. Not that I don't love my job but, I needed a break. I plan on seeing the family over Christmas, going to see Alvin and the Chipmunks with the kiddos, going to lunch with Brenda and Carrie (friends from KAS), and just recharging my batteries. They are on empty.

Last night Patti and Cheryl came over. We exchanged gifts, played Mexican Train Domonies, ate, and laughed. It was such a great thing to do! We all needed some relaxing fun and we had it last night. I had forgotten how great our girl's night in were, and I needed it so bad. The funk was lifted a little bit!

Merry Christmas
from
Jill and Darbee

Please keep Kaya in your thoughts and prayers!

Hold On

Yesterday I got an update from my agency, I am still on the 2nd reviewer's desk. Why do you ask? That is a question we cannot get an answer too! We have been in PGN for nine weeks and we are 4 days into week 10. The rep. from the agency said that it could be that I am a single mother and that would take a little more time! UGH. I am thinking that maybe our reviewer is on vacation and getting back this week. I am really worried about the holidays and the end of the year. I am hoping that being close I will be signed out over the Holidays that is what I am actually praying for, please add us to your prayer list!

Have a great holiday I will be posting, but I am not sure when so check back often! I'm just going to try to hold on for one more day!

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The Good:

Traveling to GT this week are some very good friends

Brenda and Paul Montgomery will welcome baby Aiden home.
Karen and Larry Vincent will welcome baby Kaden home.
Loretta Cook and her husband will welcome baby Sammy home.
(I think we need a few girls like Kaya and Ella home)

It is also good that we are still in PGN week 8.

The Bad:

We got news that we are on the 2nd reviewer's desk. I am hoping to be able to call next week and see if we have moved to the Big Dudes Desk. I really want to be out soon!!!!!

The Ugly:

The weather here on the sunny side is not so sunny! Rain and threats of winter storms, but nothing but rain so far.

Also ugly is I've heard the USE in GT will not be issuing appointments during the weeks between Christmas and New Year's so it will most likely be after the first of the year even if we are out next week. All I know is I want my baby home soon!

All I want for Christmas is . . . . . .

This was taken at the annual Downtown Beaver Dam Celebration. The note says All I want for Christmas is Kaya Home!!! That is what I am feeling right now!

My Mom and Dad after Sunday lunch taken ~photo by Karis (my 4 year old niece).
They want Kaya home for Christmas, too!

Ok, who is this most of you ask??? This is one of the teachers at my school Laura Renn she went this weekend to a Spurs game and had her picture taken with Ming. The funny thing is Laura is at least a head taller than me and wearing 3 inch heels. She said Ming was so mad because he had gotten kicked out of the game that is why he looks pissed!!! I had to post it b/c I thought it was a great picture!

Bailey and Casey Harbin also want Kaya to come home soon! Casey is 8 weeks older than Kaya. Tricia and I know they are going to be good friends. Bailey is already talking about Kaya and what she is going to teach the babies!

Who's that girl?

Just so you know it is my favorite girl in the world. Kaya!!!!! I got new pictures and couldn't wait to share them. I cannot believe how much her hair has grown since 2 weeks ago, already past her eyebrows. I also believe she is starting to get some teeth because of the way she is sucking in those precious lips. Enjoy the pitures of my precious girl!!!

Almost sitting up by myself!!!!

Look how long my hair has gotten, it's past my eyebrows in 2 weeks.

So serious I wish she'd smile a little!!! I know she needs her mommy!

This one is cute but fuzzy b/c I was playing with it sorry!!!

I sent her this outfit, I am so glad something I sent fit her!!! LOL I've been having trouble getting the right size oh she is 20.4 lbs and 26 inches at 6 months. I am glad she's grown in length last time she was 22 inches, so she's getting big!!!!!

What a wonderful life!
